What is a bridge?
A bridge is a tool that allows you to transfer your assets from one blockchain to another. In this case, we'll be bridging from Ethereum and Solana to Arbitrum.
RocketX Bridge
We are using the RocketX bridge for this guide, this may not be the best bridge out there, but it is the one we know best. Feel free to do your own research and use a different bridge.
NOTE: Be sure to double check you are using the real RocketX url: https://app.rocketx.exchange
Before we get started with the Ethereum and Solana guides, please note they are very similar but we'll go over them both anyways.
Bridging from Ethereum to Arbitrum
Head over to the RocketX bridge and connect your wallet.
After connecting your wallet that holds the Ethereum you want to bridge to Arbitrum, you need to pick a favourable quote from the list.
Notice how for some options the min. received is lower than others, you would want to pick the one with the highest min. received. In this example that is either option 1 or 2.
After selecting your favourable quote, you will be prompted to add an 'Arbitrum One address'. This can be the same address as the one you used to connect your wallet, or a new one.
After having entered your recipient address, you will need click the 'Bridge' button, after which a popup will appear with the details of the transaction.
Send the funds to the deposit address, or when using wallet mode, you can just click 'Confirm'.
After the transaction has been sent, you can check the status of your transaction by either keeping the popup open or by clicking on the 'History' tab in the top right corner.
Bridging from Solana to Arbitrum
Head over to the RocketX bridge and connect your wallet.
After connecting your wallet that holds the Solana you want to bridge to Arbitrum, you need to pick a favourable quote from the list.
After selecting your favourable quote, you will be prompted to add an 'Arbitrum One address'. This CANNOT be the same address as the one you used to connect your wallet as it has to be a valid Arbitrum One or Ethereum address.
That's it! You have now bridged your assets to Arbitrum. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to us on Discord.
